Wicked World Tours is now a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation or SCIO for short. The decision to apply for SCIO status was made at the AGM on July 7th this year and the Directors submitted an application to OSCR soon afterwards. A SCIO is still a charity but it is also a legal entity in Scotland that has much the same powers and responsibilities as a Company Ltd but is designed for smaller charities like ourselves who find reporting to 2 major bodies – OSCR and Companies House a lot of work and very expensive. Now we will only report to OSCR and will save on auditor’s fees.
